Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team. The SLPA will provide therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, following each client's established Plan of Care. Our clinic works in collaboration with an ABA center, serving children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from infancy through 16 years of age.
The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, eager to learn, and passionate about helping children reach their communication goals. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centered care.

Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by the supervising licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, strictly following each client's established Plan of Care.
- Provide direct therapy services exclusively within the center setting to children and adolescents up to 16 years of age, primarily serving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Prepare therapy materials and assist with the setup of equipment used during sessions
- Maintain punctuality and adherence to scheduled therapy sessions to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
- Monitor client progress and accurately document treatment outcomes using SOAP notes in accordance with clinical and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with the ABA team and other professionals to support each child's communication goals and overall development.
- Provide excellent communication and ongoing feedback to parents and caregivers regarding their child's participation, progress, and home practice recommendations, as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
Skills
- Understanding of autism-related communication challenges, including receptive language, expressive language, social communication, and pragmatic language skills.
- Ability to implement speech and language therapy activities under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and according to individualized treatment plans.
- Patience, flexibility, and creativity in adapting activities to meet the unique needs and learning styles of children with ASD.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with therapists, educators, families, and medical professionals
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on individual client needs and progress assessments
- Passion for helping children improve their communication skills through engaging and evidence-based methods
- Current CPR Certification (or ability to obtain certification within a specified period after hire).
- Current Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License required.
