Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Truck Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, tractor-trailers, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, and HVAC components using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & ,driveline repair and fluid checks to maintain vehicle safety and efficiency.
- Repair and fabricate parts as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function of component
- Interpret technical schematics and manuals to accurately diagnose issues related to electrical systems, powertrains, hydraulics, and other vehicle systems.
- Complete detailed service reports documenting repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy-duty diesel engines and truck repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other fabrication devices.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary. Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
