Job Overview
The Transportation and Warehouse Specialist is responsible for both donation pickup operations andwarehouse organization. This role combines volunteer management, driving, logistics, inventory handling, and administrative tasks, including data entry and recordkeeping.
This position serves as a key representative of the Lawton Food Bank, interacting with donors, clients, and staff while ensuring efficient transportation, accurate documentation, and organized warehouseoperations
This is a hands-on position requiring physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery
- Operate company trucks to complete scheduled donation pickups
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely service
- Safely load, transport, and unload donated goods
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with donors, volunteers, and customers during pickups
Warehouse & Inventory Operations
- Work with volunteers to complete warehouse tasks
- Receive, sort, and organize incoming donations and merchandise
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment including general cleaning and basic maintenance
- Stocking, processing, and distribution tasks
Data Entry & Administrative Duties
- Accurately enter donation records, inventory data, and pickup details into online system
- Complete donation receipts
Customer Service & Team Support
- Provide excellent service to volunteers donors, and clients
- Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to complete daily tasks
- Assign tasks to volunteers
- Maintain pantry and warehouse operations when not on delivery routes
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a visitors pass on Fort Sill
- Clean background for background check
- Previous box truck driving experience preferred
- Forklift Certification Preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks

Pay: From $35,360.00 per year
