The incumbent in this position will be responsible for overseeing and operating a children's department in a public library, including programming, planning, promoting, and implementing children's activities. This position will be tasked with analyzing collection development needs and selecting appropriate library materials, planning, and preparing displays and exhibits, maintaining the library database's bibliographic records, assisting children with book choices, answering questions from teachers and parents, providing reader's advisory services, and serving as the library branch supervisor in the manager's absence.
