Maintenance Technician - $29-$36/hour - Walworth County near Delavan
This is a Direct Hire Position.
Step into a vital hands-on Maintenance Technician role on 2nd shift with a growing metal fabrication company. Bilingual ability is strongly preferred in this role to effectively communicate with team members who are most comfortable speaking Spanish as well as those most comfortable speaking English. If you enjoy troubleshooting, keeping equipment running at peak performance, and bridging communication across the team, this is an excellent opportunity with strong earning potential.
Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday - Friday (with occasional weekends as needed).
Pay: $29 - $36 per hour (negotiable based on experience and abilities).
This position is an easy commute from Delavan, Whitewater, Elkhorn, Walworth, Lake Geneva, Burlington, Sharon, Darien, Harvard, and surrounding communities.
What You Will Do:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on critical manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Work on electrical panels, high and low voltage installations, and control systems with a strong focus on safety and reliability.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and automation systems to keep production lines moving smoothly.
- Support fabrication tasks for maintenance and repair projects (not production parts).
- Inspect, maintain, and repair laser cutting machinery and other metal fabrication equipment.
- Communicate clearly and diplomatically in both English and Spanish to support workers who are most comfortable in either language, ensuring smooth collaboration with production teams, operators, and leadership.
What You Bring:
- Proven maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong skills with electrical panels, high/low voltage systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Experience working with laser cutting machinery is a significant plus.
- Ability to fabricate components and parts needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred to connect effectively with all team members.
- Practical problem-solving ability and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- Mechanical aptitude and a collaborative approach to supporting the entire operation.
