We at Fence & Deck Depot are seeking an experienced craftsman to join our team in as a Lead Deck Installer. This position supports our deck field crews across the greater St. Louis area. This is a full-time, year-round outdoor role focusing on deck installations for residential and commercial projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

Laying out jobs

Managing job operations, delegating tasks and managing crew.

Loading and unloading materials
-
Digging holes and using shovels
-
Using basic hand tools (tape measures, hammers, speed square)
-
Using basic power tools (circular saws, nail guns, drills, impact screw gun).

Reading a level
-
Driving vehicles
-
Daily reporting on job progress and production issues to Production Manager

Working occasionally on Saturdays
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Experienced with power tools (mainly circular saws and drills).

Carpentry.

Familiar with permits / inspections
-
Should enjoy working outdoors.

Good communication skills.

Problem solving skills.
-
Attention to detail.
-
Previous deck experience is required.

Ability to read blueprints is required.
-
Concrete pouring / finishing is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Being able to lift up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodations.

Performing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs.

Ability to work in various weather conditions.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$34-$39/hour DOE. After the training period is complete, the potential to earn $70k-$80k per year.
