Job Description: CNC/Machinist
Overview: We are seeking a skilled CNC/Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Haas and Mazak CNC machines (Primarily Milling CNC's, but Lathe and programming experience a plus). As a CNC/Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequences.
- Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation and part quality.
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions and make timely adjustments or report them to the supervisor.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize machining processes and resolve any production or quality issues.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as coolant refills and tool changes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC/Machinist, with expertise in operating Haas and Mazak CNC machines (preferred)
- Strong understanding of machining principles, including tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and the ability to inspect and verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- Familiarity with maintenance tasks and troubleshooting common machine issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make adjustments to machining processes as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
