Job Summary
The Epic Systems Analyst II is responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying, and maintaining Epic and other technical systems used by Duly Health and Care team members. The Epic Systems Analyst II works with other analysts and operational counterparts to maintain continuity in process and in support of our integrated Epic electronic medical record as well as any systems that integrate with Epic through interfaces, APIs, extracts or other means. Epic Systems Analyst II positions actively participate in new system enhancement projects along with managing tickets and maintaining the system. Project work may be independent and or guided by more senior members of the I&T team, depending on complexity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

I&T support and ownership of 2 to 3 Epic modules or related applications / systems

60% of time dedicated to daily operational support and quarterly system updates

20% of time dedicated to projects which includes supporting system enhancements/new features, enhanced workflow design, and optimization

Act as a liaison between I&T and the application user community to identify efficiency and functional issues

Investigate complex system errors and/or failures and coordinate the resolution of these issues

Document clinical or operational workflows and the technical tools within the system to enable those workflows

Work with Epic and downstream systems to establish and support technical connectivity

Participate in various IT projects as the data and subject matter expert

Utilize project management skills for planning, testing scripts updates, reviewing of release notes, testing workflow and build changes for quarterly updates and system upgrades.

Provides on-call support

Mentor Analyst I roles and outside vendors to learn internal processes and technical concerns
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to support the end-user and technical operations staff as required by providing excellent customer service

Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data

Knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination

Knowledge of or willingness to explore SQL, HL7, X12, or other healthcare languages / standards

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills for process development and problem resolution

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Epic Certification Prelude

At least 2 years, with 4 or more preferred of related technical experience to include implementation, support or hands on end user experience with Epic and / or ancillary systems

Experience with process improvements

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $67,000 - $101,000, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
