Position Overview
The Procurement Director plays a pivotal role in leading the procurement function and serves as an integral member of the Site Leader’s management team. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk-only management position. The successful candidate will be actively involved in day-to-day purchasing activities, supplier management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing site. This position carries full responsibility for establishing, leading, and developing the site purchasing team, with a strong focus on engineering cost optimization. In addition, the Procurement Director is responsible for ensuring a dependable supply chain, maintaining strict cost controls, and driving operational excellence. All of these efforts are aimed at improving overall plant performance and creating a seamless, efficient purchasing operation aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The right person will be willing to get involved on the shop floor, work closely with operations, and help solve problems directly.
