Application Assistants
are responsible for supporting the sales team by writing proposals, filing documentation and providing sales and service reports. The application assistant will work closely with the Sales & Marketing manager to support New Vista’s marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has both relational and technical skills in order to relate to the company’s product offering and customer base.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an Applications Assistant, you will be communicating with customers on a regular basis and writing customer proposals. Day-to-day you will also coordinate projects with the Sales and Marketing Manager to implement New Vista’s marketing strategy. This position may be subject to an initial training period with the Department Manager depending on experience. Responsibilities include:
- Work with the sales team to write proposals for new projects and replacement parts.
- Record documentation, maintain databases and create reports.
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service.
- Support marketing activities as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to relate to technical products and services in the machine automation industry.
- Proficient with various word processing, spreadsheet and data base software.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Experience with B2B and industrial sales preferred but not required.
- Desire to take ownership of your work and approach it with a sense of urgency.
