Toddlers' Development:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs that support toddlers' physical, social, and cognitive development.
- Encourage language development, fine and gross motor skills, and self-help skills.
Curriculum Design:
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs and interests of toddlers.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate hands-on, play-based learning experiences.
- Follow weekly lesson plans and support classroom lead.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment.
- Establish and enforce consistent routines, rules, and expectations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Regularly create and execute engaging activities with the children.
Individualized Learning:
- Recognize and respond to the unique needs and strengths of each toddler.
- Provide individualized attention, support, and guidance to help each child progress.
Parent Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and caregivers.
- Share daily updates, observations, and developmental milestones.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences or meetings as necessary.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe classroom.
- Administer basic first aid and monitor for any signs of illness or distress.
- Implement proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
Professional Development:
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
- Attend required training and professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and share knowledge and resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
- Must pass a comprehensive background screening.
- Previous experience working with toddlers or young children.
- Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, nurturing, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Position Type:
- Part-time
- Availability to work weekends, and special events as needed.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
