We are seeking a dependable, motivated Shop Hand to join our growing machine shop specializing in the manufacturing and refurbishment of steam turbines. Responsibilities
- Assist machinists and technicians with daily shop operations.
- Clean and organize work areas, equipment, and tools.
- Move materials and components safely throughout the shop.
- Prepare parts for machining, assembly, and refurbishment.
- Operate basic shop equipment and hand tools.
- Help load and unload deliveries.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Previous shop or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Reliable transportation and good attendance.
