Job Title: Community Liaison (Sales)
Location: Greater Newton-Wellesley
Company: Homewatch CareGivers of Newton-Wellesley
Position Type: Full-time
Start Date: Mid/Late September 2026
Travel: Up to 80% within defined territory
Build Something From Day One as Our Founding Community Liaison (Sales).
Homewatch CareGivers has delivered trusted, person-directed home care since 1980. We are opening a new office serving thirteen communities across Boston's western suburbs, from Newton and Waltham to Lexington, Belmont, and Bedford, and we are hiring our founding Community Liaison.
This is the person who builds our referral network from the ground up. You will own the relationships that bring families to us: the discharge planners, senior living communities, and elder-care professionals across the region who decide where clients turn for care. If you know how to build trust, turn relationships into referrals, and grow a territory from nothing, and you want the backing of a national brand while you do it, we want to meet you.
Why Choose Homewatch CareGivers of Newton-Wellesley?
Competitive Base Plus Uncapped Commission: A $60,000 to $65,000 base plus a 3% commission on the revenue you generate, with on-target earnings of roughly $70,000 to $80,000 in your first year, growing to roughly $85,000 to $90,000 in year two as your referral base matures.
Founding Team Role: You will build the referral network, the community relationships, and the outreach playbook of a new office, rather than inherit someone else's.
Own Your Territory: You own the relationships, the pipeline, and the results across all thirteen communities (Newton, Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Lexington, and others), and you report directly to the owner.
National Brand, Local Office: The technology, training, and reputation of a home care leader operating since 1980, paired with the pace and autonomy of a business you help build from the first client.
Professional Development: Ongoing training and development, with room to grow as the agency grows.
Job Fulfillment: Experience the satisfaction of knowing your work keeps people safe, independent, and at home in your own community.
Compensation and Benefits:
On-target earnings of approximately $70,000 to $80,000 in year one, growing to approximately $85,000 to $90,000 in year two as your referral base matures.
Base salary of $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and existing referral relationships.
Commission of 3% on the revenue you generate for the agency during your first twelve months, rewarding the work of building the referral base from nothing.
Car allowance or mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate for daily field travel, plus a company-provided laptop.
Health, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Paid time off and paid holidays.
Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave and Earned Sick Time.
What You’ll Do:
Build and own relationships with the referral sources that drive our growth: hospital discharge planners and case managers, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, assisted and independent living communities, hospice providers, geriatric care managers, elder-law attorneys, physician practices, senior centers, and Councils on Aging.
Establish preferred-provider and referral agreements with facilities and senior living communities where appropriate.
Own a weekly cadence of in-person referral-source visits and maintain a consistent presence across all thirteen communities.
Own the referral-to-admission funnel from first contact through start of care, coordinating warm handoffs to the operations team.
Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, senior expos, and networking functions, and host educational sessions and lunch-and-learns for referral partners.
Build and maintain a written territory action plan with measurable goals and KPIs, reviewed weekly with the owner.
Keep a disciplined, current pipeline: log every touch, track every referral and its outcome.
On occasion, visit client homes for assessments and other duties as assigned.
Are You the Right Fit?
Five or more years of experience in sales, business development, community outreach, marketing, or a healthcare referral or liaison role, with ten or more years strongly preferred.
Prior healthcare experience is strongly preferred, particularly in home care, home health, skilled nursing, senior living or retirement communities, hospice, or hospital settings.
An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree is a plus, but it is not required. A demonstrated record of building relationships and hitting goals matters more than credentials.
Willingness to travel throughout the defined service area up to 80%.
Existing referral relationships within the Boston western-suburb healthcare and senior-care community are a significant advantage.
Self-directed, organized, and comfortable owning a territory and managing multiple priorities without daily supervision.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage discharge planners, clinicians, families, and community leaders with equal ease.
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid Massachusetts driver license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the service area. Ability to pass a criminal background check and all required screenings.
