Position Overview
We are seeking a responsible and observant Part-Time Patrol Security Guard to conduct mobile patrols during overnight hours from Friday through Sunday. This position is ideal for individuals seeking extra income. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to follow site-specific instructions to maintain the safety and security of assigned properties.
This role involves driving a patrol vehicle, conducting perimeter inspections, writing reports, and addressing security concerns as they arise.
Ideal for experienced guards seeking consistent overnight patrol work in a professional, tech-forward company.
Schedule
Friday – Sunday
2:00 AM – 6:00 AM
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Overtime paid in accordance with California labor law

Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned residential and commercial properties by vehicle and foot
- Monitor for signs of trespassing, vandalism, or suspicious activity
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, taking appropriate action
- Conduct perimeter and property inspections to identify potential security risks
- Enforce property rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor as needed
- Document incidents and prepare accurate reports using patrol reporting software
- Ensure all assigned duties are completed prior to the end of shift
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required
Requirements
- Valid BSIS Guard Card required.
- Completion of the full 40 hours of BSIS-required training. Applicants must be able to provide training certificates upon request.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
- Must be insurable under the company’s automobile insurance policy.
- Selected candidates will be required to provide a current DMV driving record before continuing with the hiring process.
- Previous experience in HOA, residential community, or mobile patrol security is strongly preferred.
- Experience using patrol and reporting software, such as Trackforce, Silvertrac, Destiny, GuardsPro, or a similar platform, is required.
- Must be comfortable operating a company patrol vehicle and working independently while remaining alert throughout the shift.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to prepare clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
- Must be able to follow post orders, supervisor instructions, company policies, and established procedures.
- Professional appearance, conduct, and demeanor are required at all times.
- Reliable transportation to and from work and a dependable smartphone are required.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled or needed.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and any required drug screening in accordance with state and federal law.
