The Greenhouse Technician is responsible for maintaining the equipment, systems, and physical environment that support greenhouse operations. This position performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and sanitation to help ensure the greenhouse operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable cannabis regulations.
The Greenhouse Technician works closely with the Facilities and Cultivation teams but is primarily responsible for the operation and upkeep of the greenhouse infrastructure rather than plant care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs on greenhouse equipment and infrastructure.
- Complete assigned maintenance tasks required on all facility assets.
- Assist with the installation, testing and repair of greenhouse equipment, fixtures, plumbing components and related systems.
- Complete assigned maintenance requests from the various departments.
- Complete assigned repairs and replacements for facility assets.
- Conduct preventative maintenance for machinery and mechanical systems.
- Follow all safety protocols in the maintenance department.
- Adhere to all worksite safety, food safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards.
- Follow established policies and procedures while encouraging quality and continuous improvement.
- Participate in dept. training
- Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- Must be well-versed in all maintenance processes, health and safety regulations
- Must have solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical equipment and climate control systems generally found in and around greenhouses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, greenhouse operations, agriculture, manufacturing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, or a related field preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- General knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic installations
- Welding & fabricating skills a plus
- Ability to read equipment instructions, safety information, maintenance schedules, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and communicate equipment or facility concerns.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Facilities, Cultivation, and other departments.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

- Authorized to work in the United States
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
- Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.
