Best Western Plus - Sulphur is seeking a dedicated and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our guests by keeping our property in excellent condition.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain building systems in compliance with safety, brand, and regulatory standards.
- Assist with special projects and seasonal upkeep.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed.
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel, apartment, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Gneral knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Applicants must be cheerful, able to work well in a team, and be able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding position. Applicants also need to be mechanically inclined, and capable of delivering excellent customer service to our valued guests. Experience with property maintenance is a plus. Must have a flexible schedule.
