The Nadel Center for Early Childhood Education (NCECE) at Congregation B’nai Israel is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and collaborative Programming and Operations Coordinator to join our team. NCECE is a large, vibrant Jewish early childhood program serving more than 400 children from infancy through Pre-K.
Working closely with the Director of Early Childhood and leadership team, this position plays an important role in coordinating schoolwide programming and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy, year-round preschool.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate schoolwide programs, special events, Jewish holiday celebrations, family programs, in-school field trips, child screenings, and summer special activities.
· Manage event logistics from planning through implementation, including scheduling, registration, vendors, purchasing, food, facilities, setup, and communications.
· Coordinate school purchasing, orders, vendors, invoices, supplies, and equipment.
· Support daily staffing and classroom coverage, school opening, front-office operations, and arrival/dismissal procedures.
· Serve as a liaison with facilities, maintenance, and security teams and coordinate work orders, room setups, and operational needs.
· Support school safety, security, licensing, and emergency procedures.
· Provide functional supervision and coordination for designated administrative support staff.
· Serve as the administrative liaison to the NCECE Parent Organization and support the coordination of its programs and events.
· Collaborate closely with NCECE leadership, teachers, clergy, CBI departments, families, vendors, and community partners.
· Proactively identify operational needs, solve problems, and help develop systems that support an efficient and well-run school.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
· Experience in program coordination, school operations, event planning, early childhood education, nonprofit administration, office management, or a related area preferred.
· Exceptional organizational, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, dependability, and follow-through.
· Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
· Experience with purchasing, vendor coordination, budgeting, or functional supervision is a plus.
· Knowledge of early childhood education or Jewish communal organizations is a plus.
