Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls involving water, fire, flood, or mold damage to assess the scope of work needed.
- Perform water extraction, drying, cleaning, and debris removal using specialized equipment such as moisture meters, air movers, dehumidifiers, and hand tools.
- Conduct mold remediation and asbestos abatement procedures following safety protocols and industry standards.
- Utilize Xactimate estimating software to document damages accurately for insurance claims processing.
- Operate power tools and construction equipment for structural repairs or demolition as required during restoration projects.
- Implement respiratory protection measures and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety during all mitigation activities.
- Assist with cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning and general sanitation to restore properties to pre-loss condition.
- Support fire restoration efforts by removing soot, deodorizing affected areas, and restoring property integrity.
- Follow strict safety guidelines related to restoration industry standards, including handling hazardous materials like asbestos or mold.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques, flood response procedures, and mold remediation practices is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software enhances your ability to document damages accurately.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and construction materials is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly in emergency situations with a focus on safety and customer service excellence.
- Experience with respiratory protection protocols and hazardous material handling such as asbestos abatement is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong work ethic combined with excellent communication skills ensures effective collaboration with team members and clients alike.
