Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (8–9 hour shifts), with optional Saturday overtime.
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Toolmaker / Mold Maker to join our manufacturing group, which focuses on custom-engineered solutions. This role is perfect for a machinist with expertise in injection mold building who thrives on managing complex, bespoke tooling projects from initial design to final production. As our current Tool Room Lead prepares for retirement, this position provides a unique chance to become a vital team member and influence the future direction of our department. We are currently scaling our operations and looking to add two new professionals to our staff.
Required Qualifications-
Proven background as a Toolmaker or Mold Maker within a production setting.

At least 2–4 years of hands-on experience in the construction, repair, and upkeep of injection molds.

Proficiency in programming, configuring, and running CNC Mills.

Expertise in precision machining and the creation of molds.

Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings, blueprints, and part specifications.

Help ensure high-quality output by manufacturing components to exact tolerances.

Strong analytical skills to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.

Comprehensive knowledge of various machining techniques and shop equipment.
Preferred Background-
Familiarity with Haas CNC platforms.

Experience using CAM software like CamWorks.

Proficiency with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).

Competence with cylindrical and surface grinding tools.

Experience operating manual and CNC lathes.

Background in production machining and steel stamping dies.
-
Experience working with diverse plastics and tool steels.

Skill in using precision measurement tools like optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers.
Core ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & Machining-
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling equipment.

Create precision parts for custom products, stamping dies, and injection molds.

Optimize machining processes and troubleshoot equipment setups to improve efficiency.
Mold Building & Toolmaking-
Construct, repair, modify, and maintain injection molds.

Assemble components and tooling based on engineering specifications.

Ensure all finished tooling meets strict quality and dimensional standards.
Quality & Process Control-
Partner with the Quality Assurance team throughout the production cycle.

Validate dimensions and tolerances using precision measurement instruments.

Document setup procedures and maintain accurate machining records.
Team Collaboration-
Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and Production departments.

Provide updates on project status, technical hurdles, and timelines to leadership.

Support production goals by assisting in the training of operators.
Safety & Organization-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Adhere to all safety, hazardous communication, and lockout/tagout protocols.

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
Technical Competencies-
Advanced understanding of CNC machining workflows.
