Duties
- Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400 to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Conduct data mining and analysis to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement within inventory control.
- Coordinate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations to optimize pricing and supply chain efficiency.
- Support demand planning through data collection, sales forecasting, and inventory replenishment strategies utilizing tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen data.
- Oversee shipping & receiving processes including materials handling, order fulfillment, heavy lifting, and logistics coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Perform root cause analysis on stock discrepancies or supply chain disruptions to implement corrective actions that enhance overall inventory management.
- Assist in category management initiatives by analyzing merchandising data and contributing to stocking strategies aligned with retail or e-commerce demands.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain analytics roles.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software.
- Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, contracts negotiation, and supplier management.
- Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts (certification preferred) and shipping & receiving operations.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements based on data insights.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with a keen eye for detail to support demand planning and inventory control initiatives. Pay: $10.50 - $11.50 per hour
