Overview
We are seeking several skilled Diesel Mechanic/Chassis Mechanics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck/trailer repair and maintenance, particularly with diesel engines and trailer/chassis components. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, which includes tractor-trailers and other heavy machinery. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance. This may include tires, brakes, air lines, lights , ABS , landing gear, grease, PM service, and inspections.
***Must be able to change tires with TIRE SPOONS/TIRE IRONS***
***Must have reliable transportation and good MVR. ***
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including troubleshooting issues related to performance and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on tractor-trailers and industrial equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Align, dig, and fabricate parts to meet specific requirements for various machinery.
- Conduct brake repairs and ensure all safety standards are met during maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand complex mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles and equipment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair, specifically with diesel engines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including the ability to read schematics effectively.
- Experience working with tractor-trailer systems and industrial equipment is preferred.
- Proficiency in assembling, aligning, digging, maintaining, fabricating, and performing brake repairs on heavy machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Pay: $22.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 – 55.00 per week
