Position General Responsibilities:
Responsible for extensive customer contact that includes processing customer transactions and sales of additional Bank products while maintaining protection of Bank assets. This position is the front line with regard to New Accounts and Customer Service. It requires extensive product knowledge to support frequent customer contact in the development of new business through the servicing of requests, calling on existing customers, identification and calling on potential customers and representing the Bank in community activities.

Dimension of Job:
This position is responsible for extensive customer contact providing broad-based banking products. In addition to handling customer transactions, they will make recommendations of additional products and referrals to the customers as well as leads to the Bank officer. This position is also responsible for following banking regulations and procedures while maintaining protection of the Bank assets. Must maintain extensive knowledge of products, services, marketing plans and regulations will cross-sell other Bank services and relay customer comments to the Teller Supervisor while preparing and ensuring completion of paperwork relating to multiple customer sales and service. Customers will be served in a pleasant and professional manner. Must have knowledge of products and prices of competitors.
Position Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies
Customer Service Representative (CSR):
Administrative Functions:
Greet and direct customers.
Assist customers with general account information.
Assist with answering incoming calls.
Monitor and direct lobby traffic.
New Account/Sales/Service:
Maintain an extensive knowledge of deposits, loan and non-deposit services by studying product information, bulletins, regulations and updates. Attend periodic training sessions and stay abreast of new procedures, marketing techniques, rules and regulations.
Sell multiple financial products and services to new and existing customers by assessing customer needs and determining which financial services can best satisfy those needs. Products include all deposit products and related service products.
Spot sales opportunities and cross sell other Bank services as they arise. Refer business consistently.
Open new accounts as needed
Sales/Public Relations: Teller/Receptionist
Promote the improvement of Stockman Bank through quality customer service, promotion of products professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic.
Greet all customers pleasantly and make them feel welcome and comfortable.
Handles transactions quickly and professionally.
Effectively handle customer questions and problems.
Use effective listening and observing skills to help identify and resolve customer needs.
Spot sales opportunities and refer business consistently.
Cross-sell other services whenever the opportunity arises.
Keep up to date on pricing and products.
Relay customer comments and or complaints to the Operations Officer immediately.
Teller:
Operational Functions:
Perform basic paying and receiving functions including cashing checks, handling deposits, savings withdrawals, loan and escrow accounts.
Balance currency and coin.
Fill customer change order.
Balance cash ins and outs.
Process mail and night depository.
Process cash advances.
Issue Cashier Checks, Visa Travel Money cards and Visa gift cards.
Take application and redeem US Savings Bonds.
Buy and sell Canadian currency.
File open/closed signature cards.
Prepare stop payment requests.
Balance ATM and stock ATM supplies.
Balance coin counter.
Balance in-bank statements as assigned.
Buy and sell cash internally to and from vault supply.
Balance vault cash, prepare income and outgoing shipments.
Accurately and efficiently process all transactions/work through assigned SCO image capture machine. Ensure that all work processed individually has been captured by SCO through batch balancing to Teller totals
Follow procedures for balancing each of the SCO batches, including the correction of errors and immediate resolution for any of the out of balance batches. The balancing process must be done on every batch, on every machine every day with no exceptions.
Responsible following the maintenance schedule on assigned SCO machines.
Responsible for proper item storage and the protection of customer information.
Security Cash Controls:
Safeguard assigned cash/currency at all times: adhere to cash limits.
Adhere to dual control procedure as defined by policy.
Balance assigned cash currency as defined by policy.
Process offages by end of next business day.
Assist with all other areas in securing the Bank cash coin and negotiable instruments.
Federal Regulations: Teller/Receptionist
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures that apply to and pertain to this position’s area of responsibility, including general regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and various other Federal and State regulations.
