American Traveler is seeking an acute care Physical Therapist with 2+ years of inpatient experience for a 13-week assignment.

Acute care/inpatient setting with an outpatient clinic connected to the facility for occasional float coverage when inpatient census drops
-
Patient caseload includes a mix of orthopedic, neurologic, and general medical/surgical cases
-
Serves as the primary therapist in the inpatient/acute care setting, with an outpatient therapist available to float and assist as needed
-
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9a-6p, with possible Saturday shifts arranged in advance to allow for a weekday off

Possible Sunday on-call arranged in advance

Some weekdays may shift to 8a-5p to attend 8a MDRs when another team member is off

40 guaranteed hours per week

Uses MEDITECH as the EMR/charting system

Minimum 2 years of experience required, with strong inpatient/acute care skills

Current BLS certification (AHA) required

Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)

Active certifications required at time of consideration; pending certifications not accepted

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating inpatients with ortho, neuro, and general med/surg conditions

Supported by an outpatient therapist who can float in to assist as needed

12 hours of orientation provided

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
