Ice Cream Scooper / Café Closing Team Member (Seasonal)

Milk & Pull is excited to launch ice cream for the very first time this summer, and we’re looking for friendly, energetic team members to help make our first season a success!
We’re a busy neighborhood café with a loyal customer base, and we expect our new outdoor ice cream stand to be just as popular. Each shift will have 2 employees on duty, so you’ll work closely with one other team member to keep service running smoothly. While you’ll primarily be serving ice cream, our café will have extended hours, so you’ll also play an important role in closing the café each evening.
What You’ll Do
● Scoop and serve ice cream with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
● Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with menu selections.
● Prepare espresso-based beverages as needed during café service.
● Keep the outdoor ice cream station clean, organized, and fully stocked.
● Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
● Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards throughout your shift.
● Work efficiently during busy rushes while delivering a great guest experience.
● Close the café at the end of the night, including:
● Closing out the register.
● Cleaning and shutting down the espresso machine.
● Cleaning the café and outdoor service area.
● Restocking supplies for the following day.
● Completing all closing side work to ensure the café is ready for opening.
Qualifications
● Basic espresso knowledge is required.
● Previous café, coffee shop, or food service experience is preferred.
● Friendly, outgoing, and dependable.
● Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
● Comfortable standing for extended periods and working outdoors.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during closing shifts.
● Evening and weekend availability is required.
What to Expect
Our ice cream stand is located outside the café with shade and seating, the cafe will stay open later creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Although you’ll spend much of your shift serving ice cream, the café will remain open and continue serving espresso drinks and other beverages until closing, so you’ll be expected to assist with beverage service when needed and complete all nightly closing responsibilities.
