Job Summary**
Primoris Energy Services Corp is seeking experienced Millwrights to join our team. Millwrights are responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our facilities and projects.
Job Responsibilities**
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors, according to layout plans and blueprints.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup, and repair of machinery.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, including replacing or repairing defective parts.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment.
- Fabricate parts using various tools and machines.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and supervisors to ensure project completion.
Job Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Millwright in an industrial setting, preferably within the energy or construction sector.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with rigging and hoisting equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations relevant to the trade.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various environments (including confined spaces and at heights), and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
