Key Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please be prepared to submit a copy with your application.
- Experience in special education classrooms or resource room settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current best practices in individualized education plans (IEPs), student assessments, and instructional differentiation.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement tailored lesson plans and interventions to meet the unique needs of special education students in a resource room setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure consistent, inclusive support.
- Develop, review, and track progress on IEPs, maintain appropriate records, and communicate student progress with families.
- Foster a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development, and all relevant school events throughout the contract term, from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027.
- Uphold school policies and maintain compliance with state and federal education laws.
