Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment across multiple construction projects.
- Interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications to accurately execute plumbing tasks.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes.
- Assist with the installation of building materials such as stucco, caulking, tile laying, flooring, cabinetry, and trim carpentry.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during outdoor work and site preparation activities.
- Collaborate with construction management teams on estimating costs and managing project timelines.
- Perform remodeling tasks including window installation, electrical work integration, plastering, and hardscape setup.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment on all construction sites.
- Use Bluebeam software for reviewing construction plans and documenting project progress.
- Support other trades such as carpentry and electrical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Skills
- Proven experience in plumbing installation and repair within the building construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, tile cutters, and other relevant equipment.
- Experience with window installation, flooring installation, stucco application, and cabinet setup.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely in outdoor environments.
- Familiarity with safety protocols specific to construction sites to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Electrical experience is a plus for integrating plumbing systems with electrical components.
- Knowledge of building materials including plastering compounds and hardscape elements like pavers or retaining walls.
- Excellent teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with carpenters, remodelers, inspectors, and project managers.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting work quality and ensuring compliance with standards.
