Seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, patient-focused Per-Diem Clinical Pharmacist to work on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all job‐related interactions
2. Ensure that pharmaceuticals are accurately dispensed in accordance with pharmacy protocols and physician orders
3. Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that the pharmacy meets or exceeds accreditation standards; and implement “best practices” in all pharmacy activities
4. Resolve pharmacy patient concerns and complaints, and provide pharmacy patient counseling as needed.
5. Conduct patient profile monitoring as necessary
6. Communicate with medical professionals with regard to patient status and response to medication, and when necessary to resolve patient issues
7. Interact with pharmaceutical manufacturers’ reps as needed to maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical products and to manage changes to formulary
8. Maintain a system of lot numbers that will allow for recall of medication products
9. Report product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy
10. Supervise the activities of pharmacy technicians and other department personnel
11. Receive new orders or referrals from Providers
12. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer
13. Coordinate nursing and infusion orders
14. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies
15. Participate in the pharmacy’s Quality Management Program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator
16. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested
17. Participate in in‐service education programs provided by the pharmacy
18. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and license requirements
19. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
1. Pharmacy Degree and active State Licensure in Arizona
2. Ability to organize and plan the activities of subordinates, and to delegate appropriately
3. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
4. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions
5. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations
6. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e‐mail

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
