Essential Functions

- Safely operate donor and Community Cupboard vehicles to transport food and supplies for mobile pantry distributions in accordance with organizational driving approvals and safety standards.
- Follow all New York State driving laws, traffic regulations, and organizational vehicle operation policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Oversee proper loading, securing, transport, and unloading of food products and equipment.
- Support site setup and breakdown activities, including tables, signage, traffic flow, and distribution layout.
- Work collaboratively with the Site Manager and volunteers to support efficient daily pantry operations.
- Ensure food is handled, stored, and distributed in accordance with food safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist volunteers during loading, setup, distribution, and breakdown activities as needed.
- Maintain awareness of safety practices and report hazards, incidents, or policy concerns promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant and organizational information at all times.
- Provide respectful, neighbor-centered interactions that promote dignity and a welcoming service environment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support mobile pantry operations and organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Approval to operate donor and Community Cupboard vehicles.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- DOT certified
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse populations and community members.
- Strong attention to safety, organization, and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and volunteers.
- Food handling, delivery, or logistics experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during mobile pantry events.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
