Base Salary Range: $123,000 – $185,000 annually (based on experience)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a large, high-acuity surgical services department in Las Vegas, Nevada. This executive role oversees perioperative operations across multiple surgical specialties and is accountable for quality outcomes, patient experience, financial performance, and staff engagement.

Responsibilities
Clinical Quality & Operations
Provide executive oversight of surgical services operations, staffing, and clinical practice.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care aligned with evidence-based standards.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety requirements.
Oversee patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and perioperative throughput.
Direct nursing practice, policies, and standards across surgical services.
Patient Experience
Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and service excellence across surgical areas.
Utilize patient feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and patient-centered care.
People Leadership
Build, develop, and retain high-performing perioperative leadership and clinical teams.
Promote employee engagement through coaching, recognition, and professional development.
Ensure appropriate staffing models, competency alignment, and succession planning.
Growth & Strategy
Collaborate with physicians and administrative leaders to expand and enhance surgical service offerings.
Identify opportunities for program growth, service line development, and operational differentiation.
Support strategic initiatives that increase surgical volume and market competitiveness.
Financial Stewardship
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring for surgical services.
Manage labor productivity, premium pay utilization, and staffing efficiency.
Oversee supply, equipment, and capital utilization; identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year of recent Director-level Surgical Services experience in an acute care setting.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience within acute care surgical services.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex perioperative operations and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
Experience overseeing multiple perioperative departments or service lines.
Strong physician partnership and executive communication skills.
