Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle meets safety standards and performs optimally, providing exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs, transmission work, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Service vehicles with precision using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools.
- Execute wheel alignments and ADAS calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety features.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies such as diesel engine repair, vehicle electrical systems, and GM vehicle-specific protocols.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in automotive repair environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and automotive electrical systems.
- Experience working on powertrains, transmissions, diesel engines, and performing wheel alignments.
- Customer service skills coupled with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Knowledge of auto estimating software and familiarity with service procedures for GM vehicles is a plus.
