Job Overview
Are you passionate about youth fitness, movement, and helping young children build confidence? We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and high-energy Pre-Gymnastics Instructor to teach pre-gymnastic skills and developmental motor skills to children ages 4 to 8.
In this role, you will deliver fun, structured, and age-appropriate classes that introduce children to the basics of gymnastics, coordination, and physical fitness in a supportive and non-competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach fundamental pre-gymnastics skills, including basic mat work, introductory balance beam concepts, forward rolls, introductory splits, cartwheels and floor movement combinations.
- Deliver structured 30-to-45-minute lesson plans that balance skill-building, fitness, and fun.
- Utilize clear, positive verbal coaching cues tailored to the developmental stages of 4-to-8-year-olds.
- Maintain a safe, highly engaging, and positive classroom environment where every child feels successful.
- Manage class setups, cleanups, and maintain professional communication with hosting school, staff or facility coordinators.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year coaching gymnastics, tumbling, or cheerleading (Preferred).
- Experience working with young children (ages 4–8) in gymnastics, dance, youth sports, early childhood education, or youth fitness.
- Strong understanding of early childhood motor skill development and age-appropriate physical progressions.
- High energy, patience, excellent communication skills, and a playful yet structured teaching style.
- Reliable transportation to travel to various program locations in the local area.
