SKILLED CARPENTER - Roofing & Construction
Location: Fort Walton Beach and surrounding areas.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our roofing and construction team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial construction, solid knowledge of carpentry tools, and the ability to accurately read tape measures and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and job-site safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry work related to roofing, framing, repairs, and general construction
- Measure, cut, and install materials accurately using a tape measure and hand/power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Install and repair structural components according to specifications and building codes
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter in roofing and/or construction
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques
- Must have standard carpentry tools: Skilsaw, impact drills, awl, tape measure, squares, pencils, hammer, etc.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Understanding of job-site safety practices and procedures
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Must maintain active driver’s license and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential and commercial roofing systems
- Relevant safety training
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
