Automotive Service Cashier PART TIME
The Opportunity
Mercedes Benz of Valencia, located in Santa Clarita Ca, is looking for an experienced Cashier to join our Service Department Team. If you are a hard-working, reliable, and dependable individual, you are looking in the right place!
The Requirements
- Proven one (1) year working experience as a Cashier and/or cash handling
- One (1) year of customer service experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent with a calculator and/or cashier machine.
_ The Skills You Bring_
- Minimum one year prior Cashier experience required.
- Solid written and verbal communication, people skills, professionalism, self-confidence, customer focus, ability to multi-task, customer service orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand, and execute complex written and verbal instructions
- Proficiency in MS Office computer skills
- Strong customer service orientation skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
_ The Work Itself_
- Receives and issues a receipt for cash, checks and credit card payments, following the procedure set out for accepting payment (checks verified, etc.)
- Records amount received in the computer and secures cash in the register/drawer.
- Makes changes and issues receipts to customers.
- Reviews and records total as shown on the receipt tape and verify against cash on hand.
- Refers customers who have additional questions or complaints to the service advisor or other appropriate person.
- Coordinates vehicle pick-up with the service porters.
- Ensures all service records are filed timely and accurately.
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. Let customers who are waiting know that they will be helped soon.
- Ensure the work area is maintained clean.
- Reconciles cash drawer and card payments daily.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
