Overview
Seeking a motivated and enthusiastic part-time Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic gift store team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in driving sales through effective communication, product demonstrations, and maintaining a well-organized retail environment.
Schedule Requirements
- 15-20 hours per week (Year-round position, NOT seeking seasonal help)
- Available to work 2 Satudays per month
- Availability during the holidays
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and recommend products accordingly.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to enhance customer understanding and drive sales.
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Contribute to the daily rhythm of the shop by using your retail-oriented skill sets to advance our environment.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels effectively and assist in stock management.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers effectively.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to supervise junior staff or new hires is a nice-to-have skill for potential growth opportunities within the company.
