About our EMS Network:
Hunter’s Ambulance Service is a licensed commercial ambulance company owned and operated by Hartford HealthCare Emergency Medical Services. Your Role:
The EMS Medical Collections Specialist will be in office. They will be responsible for:

Work Self Pay aging

Analyze accounts insuring Patient Demographics are correct & Insurance has been billed appropriately

Call patients to discuss balance, collect payments & set up payment plans as needed

Process Return mail
-
Assist in preparing refunds
-
Verify Insurance eligibility via multiple websites

Assist with Probate/Estates
-
Problem solving skills
-
Computer knowledge & Excel knowledge

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Ability to work in high volume setting

Excellent communication & organizational skills
-
Keep a professional demeanor when speaking to patients

Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
-
1-3 years experience in medical collections, billing, or insurance verification required
