Overview

Duties
- Operate and maintain grinding, honing, and lapping machines to achieve precise surface finishes and dimensional tolerances on metal components.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to accurately set up machining processes.
- Conduct detailed measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to verify part accuracy.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and shop math for quality control purposes.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues efficiently and perform basic repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to manufacturing processes including proper use of hand tools, welding techniques, materials handling equipment like forklifts, and packaging procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for interpreting production documents and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating reliability in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
