We are seeking a compassionate and motivated team member to support the implementation of behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental, behavioral and learning needs.
Two Roads Academy is a state-approved independent therapeutic school that serves roughly 15 students in grades 9-12. As the Behavior Consultant/Specialist, you will collaborate with Clinicians, Special Educators, and 1:1 support staff (known as Behavior ACTivists) to create and manage individualized behavior plans that foster meaningful behavior change and give students greater agency in their own lives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- In school for BCBA or BCaBA (or will be starting coursework within the next few months)
- Experience in creating and implementing individualized, function based behavior support plans
- Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Experience in mental health and/or education
- Experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities
- Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow behavior plans with consistency and fidelity
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in various settings
Job Responsibilities included (but are not limited to):
- Full-time, in person position (working in a small therapeutic independent school)
- Dedicating a minimum of two hours per week of direct or indirect supervision/observation per client.
- This time includes observations across settings, updating Behavior Support Plans, engaging in data analysis, attending team meetings and providing direct supervision to Behavior Instructors.
- Designing, implementing, and revising individual Behavior Support Plans and conducting ongoing functioning behavioral assessments through collaboration with the Director, 1:1 staff (Behavior ACTivists), and school-based team members.
- Using ABA in the design, creation, and implementation of interventions for both students and staff.
- Applying principles of behavior analysis in day-to-day work with students through modeling, assessment, sessions, and consultation.
- Providing crisis support as needed.
- Supervising and coaching Behavior Instructors to ensure that behavior plans and interventions are being implemented with fidelity.
- Provide ongoing professional development to staff throughout the school year
- Understanding of, and experience in, implementing trauma informed interventions
- Collaborating with the creation or IEP goals; including data collection and interventions to support their progress
- Co-planning and co-facilitating social emotional instruction for students
- Nice, but not required, experience or knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Training
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

- Experience in the field of Mental Health or Education.

- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - or on track to become certified.
- Experience with the theory and application of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year- based on years of experience and credentialing
