Local Philadelphia Vending Company seeking reliable, energetic individuals to join our service and install team as a vending machine mechanic.

- Full time, Monday-Friday - approximately 40 hours
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Must be drug free; Qualified Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- RDS operates a drug free environment and may perform random drug screening
RDS Vending Mechanic:
- We are hiring immediately for a full-time vending machine MECHANIC position.
- Location: Philadelphia Tri-State Service Area – at 7500 Wheeler Street, Philadelphia, PA 19153.
- Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday - Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.
- Requirement: Driving experience is required; RDS specific training on the job is available. Valid driver license and good driving record required (Background and Motor Vehicle Record check will be performed before hire and annually)
- Pay Range: $900 per week to start.

Job Summary
We are hiring immediately for a full-time vending mechanic position. The mechanic is a key member of the RDS Service team who enables the availability of our products to clients and maintains strong relationships. The mechanic brings reliable access to a wide variety of snacks, foods and beverages to our clients through new innovative machines and markets, and helps create an exciting customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail
- Responds quickly to dispatch calls for machine and equipment repairs or needed maintenance.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints; reports all client and/or customer complaints and or equipment mechanical issues to immediate supervisor in a timely manner if not through dispatch
- Calls on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; resolves service issues or complaints
- Inspects machines and equipment to determine/locate causes of malfunctions, dismantles machines to gain access to problem areas (re-assembles upon completion of repair)
- Inspects parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems; removes and replaces worn or defective parts; repairs broken parts; realigns and adjusts components; tests machine operation following repair to ensure it is in working order
- Reviews inventory and requests parts to be ordered as necessary; ships and receives machines; maintains equipment inventory
- Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for machine and equipment repair.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment, performs job safely at client sites ensuring any dirt, debris is removed or discarded.
- Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment to help ensure safety. Inspects machines to insure they are clean both inside and out.
- Assist in vending machine delivery as needed
- Assist in delivery and Installation and set-up of new Micro Markets and state of the art "Smart Coolers" at strategic client locations
- Participate/assist in strategic RDS projects that the service department must complete to support business objectives (e.g., pricing updates, Planogram changes, special vending product promotions)
- Prior to beginning each day’s route, ensures that truck is properly loaded with all parts required to properly service all scheduled machines, including coins for change, as necessary.
- Provides client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
- Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment to help ensure safety.
- Keeps company vehicle clean and organized at all times; performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Adheres to stringent RDS driver safety guidelines and reports any vehicle issues or damages to supervisor immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in using high tech hand-held devices to respond to send and receive service tickets and provide updates to RDS office and track tech performance.
- Understands and adheres to stringent safety protocols required to operate RDS vehicles which are equipped with new high-tech telematics and cameras to keep our drivers and others safe on the road.
- New Hires will work together with Experienced RDS Vending mechanics to learn additional skills on the job.

Pay: $22.50 per hour
