LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing project-based organization to identify a Project Accountant who can serve as a key financial partner to project and operational leadership. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who has spent several years supporting large-scale construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, or capital projects and is comfortable owning project cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis from project kickoff through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and reconcile project commitments, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and budget performance
- Review vendor invoices and payment applications for accuracy and project alignment
- Prepare and maintain project forecasts, cash flow projections, and Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) reporting
- Monitor project risks, change orders, claims, and scope modifications
- Partner with Project Managers to provide variance analysis and financial insights
- Reconcile project budgets and forecasts with accounting records
- Develop recurring cost reports and support leadership decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, contract requirements, and customer reporting obligations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within project-driven environments
- Strong Excel skills and advanced financial reporting capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Self-starter who can work independently and proactively identify risks and opportunities
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
