Position Summary
Home Perfect Exteriors is seeking a motivated, driven, and customer-focused Deck Sales Representative
to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for generating new business opportunities,
conducting in-home consultations, and guiding homeowners through the deck replacement and outdoor
living project process.
Our Deck Sales Representatives specialize in premium wood and composite decking systems and serve as
the primary point of contact throughout the customer's journey, delivering a five-star experience from
initial consultation through project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
Deck Sales Representatives are expected to actively generate new business opportunities through:

Canvassing neighborhoods and targeted territories
Networking and generating referrals
Following up on company-provided leads
Conducting in-home consultations and project estimates
Educating homeowners on wood, composite decking, and outdoor living solutions
Building and maintaining relationships with homeowners, referral partners, and community contacts
1Representatives are expected to consistently maintain a strong sales pipeline and achieve weekly sales
goals.
Customer Experience

Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and installation process
Clearly communicate project scope, timelines, materials, and customer expectations
Assist customers in selecting decking materials, railing systems, and outdoor living upgrades
Maintain regular communication with customers and provide timely project updates
Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills
Ensure a positive customer experience from first contact through project completion
HPE Processes & Expectations
Deck Sales Representatives are responsible for:

Ensuring all customer files contain accurate measurements, notes, photos, and signed
documentation
Maintaining an organized calendar of appointments, follow-ups, and customer communications
Utilizing CRM systems to manage leads, sales activities, and customer interactions
Responding promptly to company communications, notifications, and assigned tasks
Submitting weekly sales reports and pipeline updates by established deadlines
Following all Home Perfect Exteriors systems, processes, policies, and company values
Qualifications

Previous experience in outside sales, construction sales, remodeling sales, or in-home sales
preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with homeowners
Experience using CRM systems and sales technology preferred
Knowledge of composite decking products, outdoor living projects, or construction sales is highly
desirable
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
