Mobile Hose Technician — Company Truck, Commission, $1,000 Sign-On Bonus, & Weekly Pay
Mobile Hydraulics is hiring a Hose Technician to operate one of our Mobile Workshops and deliver on-site hydraulic hose service to customers across the area. This is one of the most important roles at our company — you are the service we provide.
If you're self-motivated, mechanically minded, and want to earn beyond a base salary through commission and after-hours pay, this is a great opportunity.
What you'll do
You'll drive a fully-stocked company-provided Mobile Workshop to customer job sites, where you'll replicate and replace hydraulic hose assemblies, troubleshoot equipment, and make sure the customer leaves satisfied. Each job involves identifying the right fittings, threads, hoses, and adapters, completing the paperwork, and collecting payment before you leave the site.
Beyond service calls, you'll keep your truck clean, organized, and properly stocked — coordinating with the Fleet Manager on maintenance and the Truck Inventory Supervisor on parts. You'll also prospect for new customers during business hours and rotate through our after-hours on-call schedule.
You'll stay in regular communication with the Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Accounts Administrator, and your customers throughout the day.
Earnings & benefits
- Base salary plus commission: 10% of your truck's monthly revenue above Quota — the more your truck produces, the more you earn
- Extra pay for every after-hours service call
- $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid after successfully completing 90 days of employment and passing the 90-day performance review (requires signing our standard NDA)
- Company-provided Mobile Workshop, tools, and the majority of materials needed to do the job
What we're looking for
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify hydraulic fittings, threads, hoses, and adapters (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Self-starter who can manage their day, their truck, and their paperwork without close supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors in the elements and driving between job sites
- Customer-focused — friendly, professional, and able to close out a job cleanly (paperwork, payment, follow-up)
- Willing to participate in after-hours on-call rotation and to prospect for new business during regular hours
Good to know before you apply
- This is field work — expect to be outdoors and on the road most days
- Specialty items and personal preference tools are purchased by the technician; standard tools and materials are provided
- Prompt paperwork submission is required and directly affects your commission
If you take pride in your work, like solving mechanical problems on the spot, and want a role where your effort directly translates into earnings, we'd love to hear from you.
