AKAASA Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dependable Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) for PRN (Per Diem) opportunities at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Braddock Heights in Frederick, Maryland.
The GNA will provide high-quality resident care while assisting licensed nurses in delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care within a long-term care and rehabilitation environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Measure and document vital signs.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) Certification
- Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or Rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Current BLS Certification (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
Schedule
- PRN / Per Diem
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Flexible scheduling based on facility needs.
