Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Supervise children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to child supervision best practices and childhood development standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to children's activities and well-being
- Apply behavior management techniques to support positive behavior and emotional regulation
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary to address minor injuries or emergencies promptly
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
- Document daily activities, incidents, and developmental milestones accurately for parent updates
- Follow all Tennessee childcare licensing regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children in classroom or caregiving settings
- Familiarity with activity planning tailored to various age groups and developmental stages
- Hands-on experience with behavior management strategies and child supervision techniques
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with best practices
