Job Overview
We are seeking a BCBA who is ready to save the world with Behavior Analysis! As the field evolves and our services for children on the spectrum are inundated with a smattering of pseudoscience, practices lacking evidence, and failure to provide efficacious treatment, we are seeking a BCBA grounded in the concepts and principles of Behavior Analysis. A clinician who can translate the research and clinical best-practices to an applied setting. A clinician who can analyze complex behavior at a molecular level and can "take it to the skinner box" to ensure a complete conceptual analysis.
A candidate for this position will have a robust and advanced framework of the principles of behavior. The ability to analyze behavior at the operant and contingency level. An in-depth and conceptual framework for teaching language under the analysis of Verbal Behavior outlined by Skinner. A complete and up to date knowledge of the literature published to identify clinical best-practice in teaching language, social skills, and remediating the symptoms of Autism using Behavior Analytic, peer-reviewed, publications and research.
To provide effective supervision, the successful BCBA candidate will have a repertoire containing, and experience implementing, Behavior Skills Training to guide and develop technician skills and competencies. The ability to establish rapport and a mentorship relationship with technicians is a must.
Finally, the ability to establish a framework of continuous quality improvement and bi-directional feedback between all members of the Ebb&Flow team, including other BCBAs, technicians, directors, and owners. Only through candid discussions (Kim Scott's 'Radical Candor' is a LARGE part of our culture) can we be able to make improvements, resolve conflict, and move our practices and the field of ABA in a positive direction to, ultimately, benefit the people receiving our services.
If this sounds like the type of culture and environment you can see yourself thriving in, Ebb&Flow will be the place to grow and develop as a BCBA!
Other key components of our program are as follows: Open M-F 8a-4p. No weekends or evenings. Clinical decision making is guided by medical necessity and clinical best-practice. There are no pre-prescribed percentages of supervision or obligations to hit certain metrics of supervision outside of medical necessity. Billing requirements are 25 hours/wk of 97155, 97156, and 97151. Our technicians are guaranteed 40 hours per week and are never sent home. This leads to increased morale and lower employee turnover.
