Xander Staffing is hiring for a top metal shelving and racking manufacturer in Terrell, TX. We are looking for experienced Industrial Machine Operators for setting up the machines. If you have experience working in metal fabrication, we want you!!
Pay starts at $15.00 + depending on role and shift
Shifts Available;
Day shift availability to work from 5am to 5pm, working 8-12 hour shifts
Night shift availability to work from 3pm to 3am, working 8-12 hour shifts
Summary/Objective:
You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to perform mold press in the assembly process.
Essential Functions:
- Performs typical machine shop and mold press operations to support the assembly floor.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect.
- Observe and act upon machine malfunction warnings and alarm signals.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of Measuring Tape
- Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, climb, and squat, for prolonged periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be available to work weekends and/or overtime.
- Ability to wear protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, boots, respirators, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing plant environment with extreme fluctuation in temperature.
- Dusty and noisy environment.
- Exposure to odors and fumes.
- Non-Climate Control manufacturing warehouse
