Powhatan, Va private horse farm has rescued more horses and needs more team members. Full time position does offer some flexibility.
We are looking for 1 Immediate Week Day Employee to help turn out horses and split the cleaning of 23 horse stalls Monday through Friday. We are in the process of building 2 more stalls to accommodate the final rescues. Week days have 5 employees here.
The job includes: washing buckets, filling hay nets, split stall cleaning, replenishing shavings with tractor, refilling waterers, cleaning water field troughs.
Please note any hands on farm work such as building, tractor experience, mowing. We have trained people on natural horsemanship but farm experience and the ability to due physical labor (lift 50 pounds) is required.
The Full-Time position incorporates the am activities, along with the afternoon activities: helping with farm maintenence (fencing, gates) , holding for the vet, holding for the farrier, bathing horses, grooming, washing coats etc.

The fulltime job is 7:30 am until 4:30 pm. Monday through Friday. There is a 1 hour lunch. Holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas are required and paid at $25 an hour) . Snow travel is required.
The part time position is Monday through Friday 7:30 am until 12:30 pm.
You must be dependable and a hard worker. Starting pay is $19 an hour and regular raises are given. There are no benefits and no live in positions or boarding available for personal horse on farm. Great place to work if you love animals!
The farm is located in Powhatan, Va near both the Amelia and Cumberland lines. That is 40 minutes from West Chester Commons amd 30 minutes from Goochland high school.
