Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Primary Care Physician at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH), you will join an established practice in Seattle, WA. We specialize in diagnosing and treating internal medicine patients, making a significant impact on their lives and families.
Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients.
To be successful in this role you will be dedicated to excellent patient care and possess expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases with strong communication skills. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
Aspects of the Primary Care physician role:
-
Team based approach: We have an innovative and collaborative practice approach. Clinical pharmacists, behavioral health consultants and other advanced practitioners work side by side with physicians to provide comprehensive, coordinated care for our patients that results in excellent health outcomes and patient satisfaction. Each provider is part of a subset or pod of the larger primary care team. Primary care pods include physicians, ARNP or PA's, Medical Assistants and RN's. The ARNP or PA supports the Pod with a smaller patient panel and time allocated to indirect care, and there is built-in coverage when a provider is out of the office. Pods are adaptable and make changes quickly to fit their team needs.
-
Flexible schedule options: We partner with you to develop a schedule that accommodates your individual needs as much as possible.
-
Access to ancillary and specialty services: Referral options to a wide range of medical and surgical specialties throughout Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, with collegial and responsive results.
-
Teaching opportunities: We are a teaching environment with regular opportunities to precept medical students and residents. It is also a conducive environment for providers new to practice.
-
Learning opportunities: The team has a teaching culture and is a conducive environment for providers newly out of residency. A formal mentorship program is in place to help guide new providers and support them for long term success.
-
Innovation: Our culture promotes new approaches, best practice standards and continual improvement for both the patient and team member safety and experience using our Virginia Mason Production System with the vision of being the quality leader in healthcare.
