We are seeking an IT Support Technician for a full-time temporary assignment with a leading company in the energy industry.
The selected candidate will provide day-to-day technical support to business users, assist with hardware and software troubleshooting, support IT equipment setup, maintain equipment inventory, and coordinate with regional IT teams through a ticketing system.
This is an on-site role based primarily at the company’s Central Office. The resource must be available to travel to operational terminals in Bayamón and Carolina when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to internal users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, printer, mobile device, and user-access issues.
- Support desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, phones, peripherals, and meeting-room technology.
- Set up and configure new equipment according to company standards.
- Support Windows 11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VPN, and authorized business applications.
- Assist with user account setup, access changes, password resets, and basic user support.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot authorized software.
- Escalate more complex IT issues to regional or global IT teams through the ticketing system.
- Follow up on assigned tickets and maintain proper documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and assist with stock control.
- Support warranty repairs, equipment replacements, purchases, and vendor coordination.
- Assist with workstation moves, peripherals, printers, phones, and basic cabling needs.
- Help maintain organized and functional desks, meeting rooms, patch areas, and IT equipment areas.
- Perform routine site checks to confirm that equipment is working properly.
- Provide basic support for UPS equipment, mobile phones, wireless devices, and other technology installed on-site.
- Prepare regular status updates or reports as required.
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal users.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, technical support, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting Windows 10 or Windows 11 environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory.
- Experience troubleshooting computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, software, user access, and connectivity issues.
- Basic understanding of networks, VPN, routers, switches, and wireless connectivity.
- Ability to follow ticketing processes and escalate issues when needed.
- Strong customer-service skills.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate professionally with users and technical teams.
- English communication skills required.
- Spanish communication skills preferred.
- Availability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Availability to travel between company locations in Puerto Rico when needed.
- Availability to respond to emergency situations outside regular business hours if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Citrix, VPN, or endpoint-management tools.
- Experience supporting Cisco networking equipment.
- Experience maintaining IT inventory and coordinating with vendors.
- Experience supporting multiple locations.
- Experience in energy, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, utilities, or industrial environments.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
