Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure food safety and proper handling practices are followed at all times
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish preparation and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Support food preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery
- Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving processes is advantageous
